The Heroism of Journalists

Jim Acosta of the heaving, hard question asking Cable News Network (CNN) and his fellow journalists are the true HEROS of today's modern and digital news times. Even the Supreme Court Justices of the United States went against the White House administration and just re-approved journalists' right to free speech and questioning. Hooray! Long live the 1st Amendment!

The current President for some odd and no explainable reason chooses to trash and disrespect honest, diligently working media journalists. Why does the president make obnoxious efforts to downgrade journalism and the 1st Amendment? Neither Bush president whined about the Press. Maybe it is because Number #45 himself can't write. His "Art of the Deal" book was ghost-written. Check out the ghostwriter, Mr. Tony Schwartz's Twitter feed. He negatively rails on Trump constantly. That's not a good sign when your pseudo biographer and book writer in charge of learning about your life and putting it out in the world, thinks your an awful human. Like your own Mom telling you to give up and shut up. I detest so-called authors and books that are ghostwritten. Ghostwriting is crap! Give me the real writer, person and firsthand source. Ghostwriting is the artificial food of books.

Doesn't everybody want the media on their good side? I thought the wise and prudent public relations savvy executive, and even the regular business person associate was smart enough to uphold beneficial relations with the media. Yet, again for some strange and perplexing reason, our current 45th USA President is not intelligent enough to adeptly engage with the free press and media. He is unskilled and unable to honestly answer direct questions. His yes women, known as Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kelly Anne Conway are humans lying tanks, with unlimited spew potential. How bad is the relationship between the Press and President Trump? He quit having White House briefings, entirely. 2 of his first White House Press Secretaries, Spicer and Scramucci were laughed off the podium and eventually or quickly fired. Why are Trump's henchmen allowed to dodge questions and lie so often?

I currently work in Real Estate, and if anything my job is to honestly present, work, show, lease and sell properties in their most accurate light.

Today's current mainstream journalists are my Heros! Why? It is because their private industry jobs are increasingly becoming more difficult and phased out every day. Traditional newspapers,  networks, and cable television stations are seeing their viewership diminish. The mainstream media's viewership is diminishing because of the rise of free digital social media, heavy iPhone & Ipad usage scrolling, the internet, and online streaming television. Domestic and Global news is free and can be accessed on a whim. It is becoming increasingly common for all age-range American citizens to solely acquire their news from social media and internet sources. Facebook and Twitter are often the 1st to publish breaking news. The majority of humans, do not take the time and effort to read the trustworthy Associated Press or AP News. It seems to me a majority of Americans are plucking their news from social media sources.

Recently while in Dallas, Texas I spoke with one beautiful young lady, and she stated that she did  NOT even have a facebook account, but only an Instagram Account. Instagram is literally an illiterate social media platform. For non-grammers, Instagram is just a user-adjusted photo posting social media phone app. There are wording photo captions on Instagram, but no literal articles or reading required. Instagram's laptop interface is awful. One could be illiterate and still easily use and enjoy the visually pleasing Instagram. Instagram is a heavily visual social media platform. Does this mean our society is moving away from the adult practice of reading? What is going on? How much are we going to shackle the powers of the human mind? Hmmm...What do you think?

Journalists are Heros! The professional, university and journalism masters educated graduates now working and in practice are the truth-seeking idealists of America. Journalists are perhaps our society's most moral causeheads. They are morally trained and tested in college to seek the truth, investigate, and to flourish within our first amendment rights. Talented journalists can enlighten and create a smarter society! Journalists can highlight and embolden disenfranchised segments of society. A talented journalist can uncover deceit, and corruption and deliver freedom and justice! Say it with me, professional journalists are our nations Heros!

Privately paid industry Journalists must learn to create honest, authentic and fact-checked stories, while still producing entertainment. HBO's award-winning John Oliver and his "Last Week Tonight" program is a pertinent example. I'm a fan. Journalists must possess the ability to engage and attention grab the public. While keeping their moral writing or broadcasting integrity, they must also keep their employers' media outlets profitable. It is a tough, admirable job and journalists should be respected and appreciated. Here's the key to being given a positive feature and glowing review from the media, don't be a crook.
