Is this the End of Talking?

Remember that human interaction with voices, sound inflection, word emphasis, and friendly colloquialisms? Yea, that action called talking. Do you ever use it?

Well, it seems to me, that talking, doesn't exist anymore. What happened? Within the general public, and in mid to larger to megacities, I've personally noticed, with the exception of required customer service jobs, people don't actually talk to each other anymore.

It's kind of sad.

Why is this perhaps the end of talking? Will talking make a comeback like the 1990's boy bands and dormant television sitcoms? I don't know, time will tell if the action of talking will return. Talking has been Missing in Action.

Talking appears to have little upside. Society these days has too many feelings, insecurities, sexual harassment lawsuits, rules and societal issues for talking to be allowed. When people talk, the energy regardless of one's honest intentions is often misinterpreted.  One side of the conversation will leave feeling differently about the wordy interaction than the other.

The Talented Human Talker is becoming as rare as the American Bald Eagle flying bird. Both rare animals are stately and justified if they can be located and found. Have you seen either lately?

The enormous mainstream rise of the Internet, Smartphones, mobile email, mobile applications, and relentless phone world has decimated the art of the conversation. There is less need for actual voice inflection and throat noise. Why? People can send each other emojis on facebook, or short instructions via text message, or quickly send specific notes via email. The skill known as talking has been slowing fading away. The modern digital age continues to expand and permeate throughout our cities, daily lives, within America, and probably the world. I blame the instant digital media age for the lowering of talking's rank.

I think the deterioration of talking is a sad happening! Why? The inflection, tones, and sound of another person's voice can exude that person's real vibe, intuitions, and actualities of their thought. The feeling one gets after actually listening to another person speak either in person or via phone is much more humane and authentic when compared to the digital messages, social media barrage, direct messages, and digital fuzz of this current era.

There are still ample machines and vehicles of communication that will TALK AT YOU. The Local and National News Television Anchor, the Movie and Netflix Actor and your Flat screen Laptop or TV will emit noise and talk at you. The AM & FM Radio will talk at you. Podcasts will talk at you. You-Tube and Social Media will play quick videos and disperse talk at you. The Government creates laws meant to change human behavior for you. But none of these aforementioned things will caringly talk with you.

In my personal business of real estate and perhaps in your job and profession, I still believe in the power and importance of human relationships. Accurate human communication, sentiments, and thoughtful personal service remain a critical element to successful business practice, successful business deals and gainfully important repeat business. I honestly feel the death of face to face interaction and talking has made developing new while nurturing previous business and friend relationships more difficult. What do you think? Are you with me? Are your relationships losing the talking steam?

It's a problem! Few people actually answer their phones anymore. Why have a Real Estate sign-up in the front yard, if you aren't going to answer the call yourself? Or if the phone call is directed to some robot machine answering voice. Don't send me to an office voicemail. I want to talk to a real person. I personally value a voicemail given and received, while other folks view phone voicemail differently. Ahh..voicemails...like postal mail without the paid for stamp.

I think so much can be learned about a human, their attitude and decision-making process from actual talking. I hope this isn't the end of talking? What do you think? Want to talk about it?

I am personally rooting for talking to, just like a prize boxer fighter who's been knocked down, get up off of the mat. Talking ought to Stand tall again! Let's go talking, you can do it! Get back up and get your lips moving.

Long Live Abortion!

Long Live Abortion! From now until the death of humanity! Warning, if you are a conservative, republican, aging white male, on the tail end of your life; you might NOT enjoy reading this. My relatively youthful opinions on this subject like most folks are strong. I once aced a University of Texas undergraduate course containing this abortion topic with an A letter grade. The course was titled, "Contemporary Moral Problems." Yeehaw! From that now decades old course, our University professor taught us, pupils, that abortion pre-viable fetus in the mother's womb should be allowed . Pre-viable fetus means the organism is unable to live on it's own without the mother. Abortion with a living viable fetus should NOT be allowed. This occurs usually in the 3rd trimester of a woman's pregnancy. To reiterate post-viable fetus, abortion should NOT be allowed. It's pretty simple. This line of thinking, is to determine if the early life can survive on its own,...
